Quick Reminder:

We will be closed tomorrow, on Christmas Eve 12/24. And next Sat 12/31 for New years Eve. So, we'll still be open Tuesday and Thursday for kids classes next week.

UPDATE:

Along with with all NWJJA classes, the Kids classes are canceled for tomorrow Thursday, 12/30. And we will also be closed on Sat (New Years Day).

So, the next Kids class will be on Tuesday, 1/4/22.

Due to uncertain weather and road conditions, Kids classes at NWJJA will be canceled for tomorrow, Tuesday December 28th.

Stay tuned for an update on Wednesday, to see if we will be open on Thursday December 30th or not.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

I'm happy to announce that the Kids Program at NWJJA will be restarting it's classes on Thursday July 1st (as long as the state-wide reopening day of June 30th stands).

I'm super excited to start coaching the kids, and get this program going again! So if you know anyone that's interested, then please spread the word. Or if your kids are interested, then please feel free to stop by anytime before a Kids/Teens class, and either sign up, try a free class, or just watch a class, to see what you think.

FYI, we'll be going back to our schedule of 3 days per week. So here's what the Kids Program schedule will be...

TUESDAY & THURSDAY AFTERNOONS

Kids class (4 - 10 y.o.): 4:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Teens class (11 - 15 y.o.): 4:45 - 5:30 p.m.

SATURDAY MORNINGS

Kids Class (4 - 10 y.o.): 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.

Teens class (11 - 15 y.o.): 9:45 - 10:30 a.m.

UPDATE:

Our kids program has been closed for a while now. The NWJJA adults program has just reopened, and we are currently in Phase 2 of the Washington State Safe Start reopening plan.

So, this is a good time to give a quick update on our current plans for the kids BJJ program at NWJJA.

Here's what to know, and what to expect...

- NWJA kids classes will resume during Phase 3 of the Washington State Safe Start reopening plan.

- After the beginning of Phase 3 is announced, it will take about one week to plan and implement the kids classes back into the NWJJA schedule.

- As soon as the beginning of Phase 3 is announced, we will start evaluating the current rules, and figure out what we will need to do in order to meet the guidelines, and still have kids classes at NWJJA in Phase 3.

- The earliest that Phase 3 would start, is next Monday, July 6th. This is the best case scenario, assuming that Phase 2 only lasts the minimum of 2 weeks. Hopefully this will be the case, but we will see.

- Everything is still pretty uncertain, and I will keep updating on this page, as soon as I have more information.

- As soon as we have a "hard open" date, I will post it here.

UPDATE:

The official re-open date for the kids classes at NWJJA is now "To-Be-Announced."

All classes at NWJJA are still suspended. As of our last announcement, the kids classes were set to resume on Thu, April 2nd. But now, due to the Governor's recent declaration, our re-open date is TBA. So as soon as we know when that might happen, we'll let you know.

So just to be clear, per the Governor's announcement March 16th we were due to re-open on April 2nd. But Then on Monday this week, it was extended for 2 weeks, through April 6th. And now, even if that holds, we're not sure if we'll specifically be allowed to open yet, or not (whenever the category of "Gyms and Fitness Centers" is allowed to re-open, then we will re-open). So, stay tuned, and we will keep you posted, as soon as anything changes. I hope you are all well. Thanks again for your support, and stay safe!
