This is one of our favorite courses to teach and we think one of the most important ones.

Buoyancy is diving.

To truly protect the environment, we need to stay off the bottom.

To take the best photos, we need to be neutrally buoyant.

Based on multiple student's requests we've added a bunch more courses in the coming weeks.

Our co-owner, Melissa, planted this phrase amongst our team and now it is deeply part of our culture.

Allow yourself the patience, kindness and humbleness to appreciate the challenge and the opportunity to learn and grow.

Scuba diving can be an intense physical and mental challenge.

We are training to safely handle situations underwater.

Diving, especially cold water diving, can engage a lot of triggers that we may not have even known we have. It is entirely normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or frustrated during the process.

Practice:
Appreciate the progress and micro-wins
Allow yourself to communicate - I'm stressed or anxious to your guide/instructor.
Slow down your breathing (especially if you feel it getting shorter).
Think about the single next step (not all of them).
Don't compare yourself - You are you.

Revillagigedo Archipelago in Mexico is a pelagic paradise and a protected biosphere reserve.

This area offers unparalleled encounters with giant manta rays, dolphins and multiple shark species including hammerheads.

Our late March charter is also during peak humpback season with potential surface breaches and underwater encounters or just listening to their songs.

Please say hi to Lizzo Burrito!

SR3 rescued this abandoned pup from West Seattle on July 29th. She was very malnourished and now SR3 is taking care of her and preparing her for a return back to the Salish Sea.

Seattle Dive Tours pledged to Adopt A Patient this year and SR3's naming theme was breakfast foods. We took inspiration from West Seattle's own Easy Street Records breakfast menu and our customers helped select her name.

Join Seattle Dive Tours on a cultural trip to some of our favorite spots in Ireland. Our Ireland trip includes a few days exploring sites around Dublin like Trinity College and Merrion Square, Guinness Storehouse and the Irish Emigration Museum. We’ll also visit the western coast city of Galway, known as Ireland’s cultural capital with its large Irish speaking community, plentiful Irish music and arts focus.

The centerpiece of our trip are our days on Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands. These islands have maintained the culture and heritage of traditional Irish life. The pace is slower, the history is long, and the views of limestone cliffs, ancient forts and miles of stonewalls will inspire.

Of course, we are also diving. The diving on Inis Mór features clear blue water, vibrant anemones, colorful coral and healthy kelp forests. It can be described as the best of the U.S. Pacific coast while sharing a underwater landscape similar to Hawaii.
