The Seattle Gaels, a program of the Irish Heritage Club of Seattle, endeavors to promote the Irish Sports of Gaelic Football, Hurling, and Camogie to Men, Women and Youth in the pacific northwest.

The Cascade Cup is nearly here! This weekend we’ll be hosting teams from all across the USGAA Northwest Division – with Nationals implications in our Gaelic football matches. We’ll be playing at the upper fields at Magnuson Park starting at 10:00 a.m.

For afters, we’ll be going to Murphy’s Pub in Wallingford!

Take a look at some of our upcoming events over the next few weeks! We’re heading up to Victoria this weekend for the Highland Games, then we gear up for the Cascade Cup and Gorge Cup in June.

Beginners are always welcome at training - feel free to show up and we’ll show you the ropes!

An incredible time down in Lacey for the annual Grit City 7’s Tournament to kick off the season. Thanks to the for hosting and for everyone involved in setting up a great tournament. Another huge shout out to all the new Seattle Gaels members who made the trip down and played in a tournament for the first time!

Great training today as we managed to avoid the rain! With 3 rookies showing out and a handful of veterans it was a great start to the 2026 Season!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Open Field Day on Saturday! If you enjoyed yourself, we’re having hurling & camogie practice this Tuesday at 6:00 pm as well as men’s and women’s Gaelic football practice on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.

Then next Saturday we’ll be doing another intro session beginning at 9:00 am for hurling / camogie, then around 10:30 for football!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We’re kicking off our season with an Open Field Day on Saturday at Magnuson Park beginning at noon. New players are always welcome, and we’ll be running through the basics of hurling, camogie, and gaelic football. Hope to see you out there!

We have back-to-back weekends of Gaels activities coming up. This weekend is Awards Night and next Saturday we’re back with our annual Poc Fada tradition - 18 holes of “hurling golf” at the Lakewood King County Disc Golf course. Hope to see you there!
