With multiple performance opportunities and a structured environment, we proudly train dancers with our same passion for movement! West Seattle began as Seattle Civic Dance Theatre in 1983 and has has been serving the West Seattle Community for 30+ years! Their school is located in the lower level of the historic Fauntleroy Schoolhouse across from the Fauntleroy YMCA and a few blocks from the Faun
tleroy Ferry Terminal. West Seattle include beginner through advanced level classes with a professional faculty that incorporate workshops, master classes, annual school concert community performances, lecture demonstrations, annual Christmas performance, annual fund-raising activities for scholarships and concerts by the Seattle Civic Concert Dancers resident dance company. Individuals study at Dance! West Seattle to become professional dancers/teachers, to be exposed to an art form, for recreation, exercise and just for fun. We believe dance training to be an excellent education and that everyone who desires it should have the opportunity to study!
