Get slope-ready with Ski Strong, a dynamic 4-week progressive conditioning series designed to build the strength, stability and endurance you need for a powerful and injury-free ski season.

Each week, you’ll train smarter and push harder- developing the balance, mobility and core control that help you move with confidence on and off the mountain.

Led by Stephen Kelsey, a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), this program focuses on performance-driven movement and proven injury-prevention techniques to keep you strong all season long.

Sessions will be held on November 15th & 22nd, December 6th & 13th, with a make-up session on December 20th if needed.

Cost: $60 for the full 4-week series.

Join us on Saturday, December 13th from 10:00–11:00am for Row Like a Pro! with Coach Ian Melder, former Rowing Captain at Gonzaga University.
In this hands-on workshop, Coach Ian will break down the fundamentals of efficient rowing on the erg, including proper machine setup, damper/resistance settings, and understanding drag factor. You’ll also learn the four key positions of the rowing stroke and how to link them together for smoother, more powerful and effective rowing.

Whether you’re new to rowing or looking to fine-tune your form on the erg, this session will help you row smarter and stronger.

Share some goodness in the neighborhood this holiday season by donating non-perishable food or hygiene items for the Ballard Food Bank. Ballard Health Club is one of dozens of Ballard businesses that have set up drop-off bins at their location for the Harvest Food Drive.

Next time you visit the club, bring items to donate. Ballard Alliance and Ballard Food Bank will take it from there and ensure our neighbors in need have what they need this holiday season.

The Summer Power Hour event on Friday, July 25th was a huge success! We thank all the members who participated in the Fitness Challenges and Weightlifting Exhibition, and congratulations to all the prize winners! Special thanks to our local sponsors; Dough Joy for the treats, Fremont Brewery for providing N/A beverages, and DJ Helix for bringing up the energy with great tunes!

Some highlights of the day were Jukes L.’s 54 Push-Ups, James P.’s 21 Strict Pull-Ups, Momoko A.’s 109 Squats, David W.’s 405lb Back Squat, Will G.’s 550lb Deadlift, Pete P’s 515lb Back Squat, Garrett N.’s 245lb Barbell Sn**ch and Carey D.’s 235lb Bench Press PR!

The energy was amazing and everyone had a great time. If you didn’t get a chance to join us, mark your calendars for Friday October 24th for our next Weightlifting Exhibition with more details to follow. In the meantime, keep lifting BHC!
