I LOVE VALENTINES DAY. I always have. I love LOVE! This year, I’m proud to say that, and mean it. Because, you can’t say that you “love Love” unless that includes everyone. Because it’s not *really* Love if someone is left out. So this year, please hear me when I say, if you are feeling “left out” - no MATTER the reason- I. Love. You.

And let me say this too, since it’s Sunday and many of my friends profess a faith based on Unconditional Love, (but perhaps have forgotten what that means)- to my LGBTQ+ family and friends- God. Loves. You. And I love you.

What if it was easy? ✨🖤✨

This is the question that has been bouncing around my little brain lately. Obviously “it” can mean anything- the problem I’m trying to solve at work, a relationship, or parenting decision- but what if it was easy? How would that feel? What else would I have space for if I wasn’t worrying, stressing, or obsessing over “it”?

Doesn’t it feel nice to have things easy? Yes. I like letting it be easy.

I feel like I’m missing out on so much these days- the little things like brushing her hair or helping her with her homework. But tonight I got to just watch her quietly working on her homework while we FaceTimed. She said, “Sorry I’m not talking so much”. I told her that I loved just getting to sit with her. My girl is so bright and beautiful- her life and her heart are a gift to this world. I can’t describe how thankful I am to get to be her mama. 💕✨

I don’t believe in coincidences. I don’t believe that it was a coincidence that these were the words that greeted my heart this morning. That they found me on this day when I’m having to tap into all the bravery I’ve built up in my heart. That they met me in the year where my theme is “depth”. None of this is a mistake even though it feels so messy. I’m so loved, so held. 🖤

Blueberry fields forever. 💙 Celebrated my favorite girl’s last day in the PNW by picking blueberries together. And now we’re making blueberry cobbler. Which we’ll eat with vanilla bean ice cream after the burgers that she’ll grill. She is the most special kid. My mama heart will break tomorrow, but tonight we’re eating blueberry cobbler.

Best day. Hugging all the kids after their week at Gramp Camp. Celebrating my Macy’s birthday with the whole family. Surprise visit from Auntie Maria from AZ. And all in one of my very favorite places- the family cabin on Lake Roesiger. So thankful for my amazing family!! Best, best day. 🌤🚤🌊
