More than 130 athletes have turned out for the first ever season of girls’ flag football in LWSD. On Saturday, January 20, Lake Washington High School hosted the first set of games between the four LWSD comprehensive high schools. Renton Benson Bruins had over 118 helmets and 50 shoulder pads stolen. Keep your eyes open on local Market Places.

Let’s hope they have the same outcome as Northwest Christian School (Lacy) last week, which recovered $8000 of stolen equipment.

The Benson Bruins youth football and cheer organization were victims of theft, as one of the equipment sheds where they stored their gear was broken into, and thieves took 98% of their helmets and 50 shoulder pads.
