President Obama could not during his term with Republicans determined to prevent his re-election as their top goal. GARY JOHNSON leads the field of independent Presidential candidates who are finally - thanks to Larry King - getting a debate except that it won't include the two mainstream candidates. Gov Johnson is similar to President Obama on social issues and similar to Gov Romney on fiscal issues. That seems like a winning recipe for moderate Americans so why is he polling so low?
