We will repair areas of the Burke-Gilman Trail between NE 65th St and NE 77th St near Sand Point in September. Work begins Tues. 9/8 and will last about 3 weeks.

The trail will stay open. Please use the temporary gravel ramps where asphalt has been removed. Cyclists should walk through work zones following all detour signs. Please plan for delays.

Interested in creative writing, spoken word, and storytelling? Check out Nation of Poets at the Meadowbrook Teen Life Center!

Led by spoken word artist Najib Abbi, participants will learn poetic techniques, write original poems, collaborate with peers, and share their voices in a welcoming and supportive environment. This FREE program is available on Wednesdays (through August 26) from 1-3 PM, for youth ages 12-19.

It's almost time to celebrate the 4th of July! Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities will operate on modified schedules on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. While some recreation facilities will be closed, many parks, outdoor pools, lifeguarded beaches, sprayparks, wading pools, and other amenities will remain open.
