This comes with a heavy heart.
As of 3/13/25 we emptied the shop & closed the doors to chainbangers at RWM disc golf course.
It’s been a great run & stepping stone for bigger projects. This is not a good bye, just a turn of the page & a pivot towards another direction.
Spending many years inside the shop and seeing the direction of disc golf has fueled my passion. Honed in my energy to focus on multiple larger dedicated disc golf megaplex facilities(aka disc golf resort LLC).
Seeing how passive use presents so many challenges. Hindering growth in a direction that aligns with my own, and im sure, many of your own visions.
That coupled with frustrations of dealing with new park staff & sometimes unrealistic policies & agendas. Most which do not always align with direction of a privately funded for profit business.
Sadly, I do not support the new direction parks wants to go. As they also do not support nor do they want to stand up to the nimbys. Voice the support and recognition that since disc golf has been there for 30+ years & 99.97% of the use that’s allowed for such overall improvements to not only the park but the community as a whole. Since my recent upgrades & improvements cemented even more players & even more reason to recognize & go the active use route.
Rather than backing down on this stance they have chosen to go another route & to usher in a new steward. Who may be more willing to submit & allow parks & nimbys more say than they deserve. This is disheartening & can slowly dwindle all the years of hard work.
As much as I wish it were not the case, I do not support those who are currently in place.
We do not share the same vision for disc golf to truly thrive, rather than have it be an afterthought.
For those who haven’t redeemed their scrip cards, what are you doing? You had 15 years!!!!🤣🤣😬😊
Jk… give me a week or two to compile all those cards and then announce a time period to redeem. If all goes well up at Kayak Point Disc Golf Resort!
Sorry this happened so abruptly. It was not 100% my intent. Wish at the very least, I could have offered more time to allow you to spend your funny money.
THANK YOU ALL for your support throughout the years.
You may not know it, but you’ve made lasting impressions & even more importantly friendships that endure.
With your support you’ve cemented your footprints and impacted white center & beyond. In such a positive and sustainable way, it’s created the very essence and improvements/directions you see happening in that thriving community.
Know that I’m forever grateful to each and everyone of you that have and continue to support disc golf & all its glory as well as my current & future biz ventures.
Thanks to all current and previous staff that has helped and supported throughout the years.
Love you all!!!
Cheers!
