September Member Appreciation: Rich S 💛
Rich is one of those people who makes the gym better just by being here. He splits his week between our 4:30pm and 6am sessions, and no matter what time he walks through the door, he comes in ready to work. He’ll find whoever is coaching, look at them and say, “Ok, let’s freaking do this” or “I am so ready,” and we know we’re in for a good session 😂
What we love most is that Rich brings that energy even when life is tough. He keeps showing up, puts in the effort, and finds a way to make training something he genuinely looks forward to. That attitude says a lot about him and makes him such a special part of our Phinney Ridge community.
Rich really embodies Core Value #5: People are capable of much more than they think they are. He has built so much strength, confidence, and consistency over the past few years, and we love getting to be a small part of that.

The tailored programs and individualized training keep me coming back. I can put in a much harder effort when I’m not also counting reps, planning the next exercise, or figuring out what to do because a machine or set of weights is being used. I can walk in, trust the program and the trainers, and just give it everything I have.
The people make the difference. The trainers are amazing—knowledgeable, engaging, fun, and genuinely interested in the people they’re training. I also love the community: I see friends I know outside the gym, but I’ve also made connections with people from around the neighborhood whom I probably wouldn’t have met otherwise.
I’m approaching three years at SSP, and even though I’ve had stretches where I’ve had to step away because of injuries unrelated to SSP, I’ve seen tremendous imp
