It's a new year! Let's put all this pressure on ourselves to change entirely as people! Also let's super not do that. No matter the field, there's this cycle called the stages of transformation that humans go through. Remember it's a cycle, that's super key.

Maintenance (you've been doing whatever the new thing is whatever is regularly for you for six months or more)
Then you loop back to another part of the cycle. That isn't failing, it's being human. When it comes to fitness, no one in the history of ever has hit maintenance and then just...stayed there...forever. We get sick. We get injured. We get busy. We get bored. We're human.
Whatever a new year brings for you, whatever changes you want for yourself, stopping and starting isn't failing. Trying again isn't failing. Pausing isn't failing. We're human, everything's a cycle. If you want to work out this year, awesome, would love to see you. If you dip in and out, cool, hard relate. The only thing we should really focus on is doing things because we enjoy them, and finding new ways to enjoy things. Not beating ourselves up for not meeting self imposed limits or expectations that often transcend what it is to be human.
