🚨 TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION NOTICE 🚨

To all ABA anglers and supporters,

We regret to inform you that tomorrow's American Bass Association Elite Teams tournament (Tournament #3, Mojave) has been canceled.

The safety of our anglers, families and staff must always come first.

Earlier today, the National Park Service (NPS) notified us that our event permit has been withdrawn due to the latest weather forecast and anticipated dangerous wind conditions. While we know many of you have made plans and were looking forward to competing, the safety of our anglers, boaters, families, and staff must always come first.

This decision was made by the National Park Service based on current weather information and conditions expected throughout the weekend. Although this is disappointing news for all involved, we fully support taking every precaution necessary to ensure everyone's safety on the water.

At this time, there is no tentative makeup date. We will explore potential options and provide updates if an alternative date becomes available.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support of ABA events. Please stay safe, keep an eye on the weather and take care of yourselves and your families.

We look forward to seeing all of you at our 4th and final tournament in November and finishing the season together on a positive note.

This decision was made in the best interest of the safety of our ABA family.

Update for Mohave:

As of now we are still a go! The forecast NPS told us to use shows 8-10mph at Blast off.
11am 15-20mph, and at 2pm 25mph.

With the 5am ish blast off time we will be checked in before 2pm and before it will be “extra rough” on the water.

We will update the teams in the event with an event email in a few hours after we finish making the last minute entries and partner changes and unfortunately a few drop-outs.

ELITE EVENT UPDATE: LAKE MOHAVE 🎣
We are actively monitoring the wind and weather forecast for this Saturday's Elite event at Lake Mohave.

BLAST OFF: Approximately 5:00 AM – 5:15 AM
Early start = full day of fishing

NPS COORDINATION:
The National Parks Service has the final authority on lake closures. They have partnered with us on past events and permitted tournaments to proceed when all boats can return for weigh-in before conditions deteriorate. Rest assured, we are tracking the same forecast data they use to make their decisions.

STATUS: 🟢 WE ARE A GO

IMPORTANT DEADLINES:

đź“… Thursday: We finalize all event details:
Confirm every participating angler
Boat draw for first-out position
Set flights and launch times
Morning live well check procedures
Distribute all event information
