Degenerates!
It's two days after Tuesday, which means it must be Degenerateday! I'm Jakob and I'm here with my award winning news team with the Degenerate News. This week, we're bringing you a little bit of what you know, with a little bit of the unknown. Starting off with what you know, it's the event that has now been presented at an official Parks and Recreation meeting, it's kept you up at night remembering past scores, it's the Degenerate Mini! Join us tonight for the 63rd week straight of Thursday Minis at Centennial.
Statsmaster Mike: Ace pot check in, we're sitting at $523!
JR: Yes sir! I always love Degenerateday, it sits as a nice reminder that it's almost the weekend, which serves as a reminder to our fun event this weekend, the first ever Degenerate Field Trip! Show up to the Centennial parking lot at 7am if you would like to carpool. We've got a jam packed day with Clute, Cornerstone, Cycleworks, and capping it all off with a mini at Bates on the way home. Everyone also needs to remember to bring their permission slips, or else Sabrina won't give you a treat for the drive down.
One Eyed Felix: Well if they do bring a permission slip, then they won't get the treat that I'LL be handing out! You can't tell people what they can and can't do.
JR: Well, that's fine. People probably aren't interested in the meow mix that you're handing out. Also remember that on Sunday, we have the Farewell to Evergreen tournament. There are quite a few Degenerates signed up for it, go show up in style and take home some wins for the Degenerates!
OEF: Nobody ever thinks about the cats... it's all about the cookies with you, Jakob.
JR: Hey I like cookies, just as much as you like the rules. What kind of rules do you have for us today, Felix?
OEF: This one is about marking your discs. DID YOU KNOW, for PDGA sanctioned events, all of your discs MUST be marked with some form of unique identification. Additionally, you cannot have any glow tape or price stickers on your discs. If someone calls you out on it, you could be leaving penalty strokes on the course.
JR: Definitely a good idea to mark your discs. That way, when you throw something in the water on hole one, Spence can know who to return it to! I see you took your advice literally Felix by marking your name and phone number on your hand.
SM: Can never be too careful. We still don't know how he lost his eye.
JR: One thing we do know, however, is the stats! WHat you got, Mike?
SM: This week in Degeneracy, by the numbers:
44 players last week ties our biggest turnout of the season! Can we beat it this week?

Today’s course conditions:
Sunny skies, 87 degrees, and a 15mph SSE wind. Stronger winds this week means the Hole 1 eagle could be in play, and 18’s mando’s might jump out and bite ya.
Do you have what it takes to squeeze out the win? How many strokes are you going to beat the course by this week? Is today the day where your card gets a star frame on Hole 7 (there’s always that one tree that likes to jump out in front of your disc. Like, what did you ever do to that tree?)?
We’ll find out this week on episode 9 of Degenerates Disc Golf: Season 2!

Thank you again everyone, we'll have some exciting news for you next week, so make sure to tune in to next week's edition of Degenerate News! As always, please don't hesistate to reach out if there is something we can do for you!
