Puget Sound Retriever Club hosted a Working Certificate Test for Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers over the weekend.
The weather was perfect, the grounds groomed earlier in the week by our Club members were appreciated by all.
Special thanks to our judges, Harry Williams and Dennis Nichols, committee members; April Caron, Bill McNeal, Hailey Wilkerson, NSDTRC Region 3 Director Cindy Richardson, bird station support; Barrett Smith and Westin Thayer and photographer Izzy from PowellCreative.LLC! Photos to follow!

While not everyone received a qualifying score, I believe everyone came away with a good experience and more knowledge.

We hope to see you all again in the field !

There will be a Training Day on Sunday April 13. Starts at 10 am at the Horse Pasture.

What an amazing adventure! Let’s start with Arrow. AKC/CKC CH Blue Sky’s All In Arrow DDB, DS, added WC (CKC) to his name last week at the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club National Specialty in Langley, BC.
This was a goal set for this summer.
The working certificate encourages breeders to keep the breed able to do what it was bred to do- retrieve!
Thank you to those who have helped with training sessions and encouragement!
Bill McNeal , April Caron, Comox Marcello Skillings, Puget Sound Retriever Club, and my family for tollerating frozen “retriever objects” !
Arrow, shown with kids Trapper and Ally, bred by Linda Moran, all passed their individual WC classes and Arrow was awarded 3rd in the stud dog category at the specialty.
