This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I make my living hauling horses, caring for them, keeping them safe on the road, and delivering them with love and integrity. It’s what I know. It’s what I do. But this past week, the road took an unexpected turn.
While out on a haul, I found myself in sudden, severe pain and had to undergo emergency surgery. I’m still in the hospital, recovering, and it’s shaken us to our core.
We were able to fly my husband in to finish the trip, and thanks to the kindness of a local Percheron farm, the horses were cared for until he arrived. Their compassion kept things from turning into a disaster, and I’ll never forget that generosity.
But the truth is we’re drowning in the financial strain. Medical bills, flight costs, lost income, and everything in between have piled up faster than we can catch our breath. We’re doing everything we can, but right now… we need help.
If you are able to donate anything, truly anything, it would mean more than I can say. I am humbled and grateful beyond words for every bit of support. Even just sharing this means the world.
Thank you for being here, for caring, and for giving us a little hope in the middle of this storm.
With love and gratitude,
AJ
