The Night Before the Smoky’s 🎄⚾

In Chicago, I-57 came in whooping and flexing hard on Smith. They had Collins in the fetal position behind the plate, then rolled right into talking smack about Resmondo like it was easy work.
But now? With unlimited home runs on deck for the Smokies… it’s about to sound like the night before Christmas out here — bombs dropping left and right.
Dave Johnson still leads the league in smack talk, and a well-known player put it perfectly: Mr. 305 won’t be saying a damn word this weekend.
Meanwhile, I-57 has gone quieter than a mouse.

According to sources, at least 5 players from Resmondo have already committed to the new squad. That’s a massive talent drain if true. Resmondo has been a powerhouse for years — losing that kind of depth doesn’t happen quietly.
Dan Smith Furious?
The drama kicks up another notch with reports that Dan Smith is absolutely livid about Seth Greene releasing Kendrick. Insiders say Smith is on a mission for one more MWS title before riding off into the sunset, and this move has him fired up. Is the new team poaching pieces to block that final victory run? The beef between these organizations just got spicier.

BIG NEWS from the Resmondo camp! Scott Delorge is stepping up HUGE next year and wants a MUCH bigger role in the operations!
We’re all rooting so hard for this guy — what a legend for even wanting to get back out there after that one rough game at the lower levels where he had a full-on panic attack behind the bag. No joke, that stuff is serious, and we love that he’s facing it head-on. Big respect, Scott! 💪❤️
Now Brett Helmer is gonna train him up at 3rd base coach. Love it! Just imagine the beginner sessions: “Alright Scott, hands up first… yeah like that… now the old windmill motion to wave those runners home.” 😂 We know he’s gonna crush those basics and build from there. Helmer’s the perfect guy to patiently walk him through it all.
Delorge’s heart is 100% in the right place. This man is DUMB AS A BRICK when it comes to coaching instincts right now… but that’s what makes the comeback story so beautiful! We’re all in his corner cheering him on every step of the way.

Power Outage in Ohio
Mucciarelli vs Reckart
Justin Mucciarelli: the flashy veteran with multiple world titles and proven success at this level. My only real concern is whether he tries to take over the game instead of just being the Justin Mucciarelli. He needs to bring that same cocky fire he shows against lower competition and see if he can light something up in this big spot. Intimidating stage — exactly where the best pitchers show who they really are.
Then there’s Brad Reckart… and man, I love what this veteran brings.Quietly one of the most talented players on the roster. He’s been patiently waiting his turn while hearing “not yet” for far too long. His on-base percentage is at an all-time high, he’s an extremely smart situational hitter, and that line-drive swing might honestly be the best in the game right now. The guy is locked in.But here’s the real debate: his power is still in question. That beautiful swing doesn’t always come with the load and hip rotation to consistently drive the ball. So the big question for HELMER is — do you ride the 800 OBA machine who does everything right, or do you go with the Williams/Matusik types who might hit .650 but will hit some absolute tanks that people talk about for years?

Signed, sealed, and quietly delivered through the back door. While the public hears nothing until after the Major World Series, those in the know understand it’s already a done deal. One has to admire the discretion. How many times do we see commitments locked in well before the Smokys, yet handled with such strategic silence? It does make you wonder about team chemistry when key moves happen this far under the radar. Especially when 97% of the current Resmondo roster isn’t exactly on board, and 98% of Dan Smith isn’t exactly mounting a spirited defense to keep him around. Would you let a guy who’s sitting bottom three in team average finish out the year? Sure, he had that one early tournament where he caught fire for eight bills… but strip that away and the picture gets a lot clearer. Given Austin Dawe’s track record with customer service and those occasional... questionable interactions, it’s fair to ask whether this is the kind of partnership that strengthens a brand or quietly risks it.I have no interest in starting a “me too” dawe what the hell Me too!!

Andrew Collins is the grizzled veteran, the old-school alpha who’s been dominating for years and carrying that “I built this” mentality. Steele Lewis is the young, flashy Canadian rising star who showed up talking big and bombing balls like he owns the field.Collins has openly said he “can’t stand Canadians” and thinks they come in with too much swagger and not enough respect for the OGs. When Lewis started lighting it up, Collins reportedly told teammates, “This Canadian kid thinks he’s the future? Purcell remains the undisputed king, casting a massive shadow that Clark has been living in for years. Travis has made “drastic improvements,” sure — but he’s still out here copying every nuance of Purcell’s game, right down to the legendary no-look pitch. Meanwhile, 98% of the softball world is still screaming that Clark will never escape that shadow .These two legitimately hate each other. You’ll hear “you suck” flying back and forth during games like it’s 2015 all over again. The lore is insane: hotel tire-popping sabotage, Purcell allegedly paying the pizza place to drown Clark’s pre-game meals in extra sauce for maximum gas and stomach destruction the next day…
