The Scottsdale Fire Fighters Association have been a great supporter of my boys and my program for years. We are so grateful. We would not be able to do everything we do without their support. You guys rock!!

This week members of the Scottsdale Firefighters Association Charities Division sponsored the Coronado High School Boys Soccer summer program.

Giving back to the community goes beyond responding to emergencies,it’s about building trust, offering support, and making a positive impact every day. Whether through fire safety education, participating in local events, or volunteering during off-duty hours.

I’m always telling my boys that they need to expand their horizons and try new things. Challenge themselves. I try not to be a hypocrite and lead by example. It’s a life lesson. Always strive to be better, to become better… so in order to follow my own advice, I decided to step up and help coach our girls softball team. The girls are amazing, they have a great attitude. They embody my “we win or we learn” philosophy. Also, I get to work with Coach Rivera. He’s a great guy and great coach.

To keep things going, our girls are doing a fundraiser. So again, lead by example, right? So here’s the link to my part of the fundraiser. We are selling popcorn. Hopefully some of you all will want to support our girls.

Shoutout to the incredible Coronado Cheer Team for showing up in full force tonight to support our Boys Varsity Soccer team in their final game of the season! Their energy, spirit, and enthusiasm lifted our depleted-team-roster squad battled hard in a tough match, ending in a 3-3 draw against Tempe. Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—thank you for bringing the support and the school spirit!

Did you know that, if you pay Arizona taxes, you can divert some of that money towards a school, AKA tax credit. This is a dollar for dollar reduction in taxes. You can channel up to $200 if filing single or $400 if filing together (you can also do $200 each). Follow this link more information: https://www.susd.org/departments/finance/tax-credit
What you need to fill is the bottom right hand of this graphic. Again, it will reduce whatever you have to pay in state taxes by up to $200 per person. If you usually only pay $50, you can send that amount and have you taxes taken care of. Win/win for our Dons.
