Anyone else looking to LOSE FAT?

Well, I am not going to talk about “how,” necessarily, but this is a question from, and subsequent conversation I had with, my good friend, Joe, about a month ago:

👉🏼 “When you ‘lose’ fat, where does it go?” 👈🏼
🤷🏽‍♂️

Well, in short, like carbohydrates, the chemical composition of fats are chains of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.

With that being said, what if I told you “breathing” was one of the biggest ways to rid the body of fat?!?

“In other words, fat leaves the body as carbon dioxide when you exhale. The fat which becomes water mixes into your circulation until it's lost as urine, tears, sweat and other bodily fluids. Therefore, exercise is an integral part of weight loss since your body disposes of fat through sweat, urine, and exhaled air.” (Healthifyme.com)

And that folks, is why getting your heart rate up and increased breathing “burns” fat. 👍🏼

This is a very insignificant picture.

So why post it?

I wanted to bring attention to the “dressing” on this afternoon snack.
*If you know me, you probably know that I really do not like vegetables — I hardly ever ate them as a child, because I did not like them, and now I try to base my nutrition around vegetables, even though I still dislike many of them. 😊 In order for me to enjoy a salad or raw veggies, I would have to turn to ranch or a similar dressing. Well, most dressings are full of chemicals and junk oils. 👎🏼 So, instead, I turn to mustards and hot sauces! Check your condiments — typically ketchup and other sauces are no better, but many mustards and hot sauces have very few ingredients, and that means very little-to-no chemicals! Mustards and hot sauces should have 5 or less ingredients, and you should be able to pronounce them all. 😉

So, go ahead and use these to spice up and flavor your veggies! 🙌🏼

Steady-state cardio is NOT the most effective nor efficient way to lose weight and fat. 💯

Simply walking or running on the treadmill is not fitness. Cardiovascular health is a component of fitness, but you cannot “steady-state cardio” your way to fit.

Instead, we suggest HIIT and resistance training for fat loss. Change things up and keep the body guessing!
