The RDL (Romanian Dead Lift) primarily targets the hamstrings, glutes, lower back muscles, and erector Spinae with secondary activation of the quadriceps, calves, and core muscles. By strengthening these muscle groups, the RDL can help improve overall athletic performance and reduce the risk of injury. The exercise can also help improve grip strength, requiring a strong grip to hold the weight throughout the movement.
