✨ MEET THE DDC ASSISTANTS! ✨

Our assistants are DDC dancers themselves, and we love watching them grow from little dancers into responsible, encouraging young leaders. 💜

From helping with stretches and across-the-floor to tying tiny ballet shoes, giving high-fives, and being that extra helping hand when a little dancer needs one, we couldn’t do it without them!

Please join us in getting to know and celebrating our amazing DDC assistants! We are so grateful for the time, energy, and love they pour into our dancers!

HELP US BRING THE SHOW TO LIFE!

Our musical theatre camp has been working so hard to put together an amazing production, and we’re looking for a little help from our Diamond Dance Centre family and community!

We are hoping to purchase microphones for our upcoming show so our performers can be heard clearly and our production can be the best it can possibly be.

If you’d like to help, we are accepting donations of any amount toward our microphone fund. Every $5, $10, $25 or whatever you’re able to give will help us get closer to our goal!

💜💜Meet Mrs. Leafy!💜💜

Oletha Ristuccia is the owner and director of the award-winning Diamond Dance Centre and brings more than 25 years of dance experience to her students. She is also the founder of Diamond Elite Dance Company, whose dancers have earned multiple national titles and awards.

Her performance experience includes Walt Disney World, Dance Masters of America, National Dance Week in Indianapolis, and numerous regional events. In 2007 and 2008, she was one of only 80 students nationwide selected for Destination Broadway in New York City, where she trained with Broadway professionals.

A lifelong performer and choreographer, Oletha has worked on numerous theatre productions with Charlestown High School and Scottsburg High School, including The Wizard of Oz, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, SpongeBob SquarePants The Musical, and We Will Rock You, which was selected for the 2018 Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Indiana University.

Outside of dance, Oletha is a professional model, actress, photographer, and creative artist represented by Helen Wells Agency. She is also the owner of Oletha Dawn Photography.

Above all, Oletha is passionate about inspiring confidence, creativity, and excellence in her students while creating a positive and supportive environment where dancers can grow both on and off the stage.

💜💜Meet Mrs. Katie!💜💜

Katie Hollon holds a Bachelors of Finance from Purdue University Global and an Associates of Business Administration from Ivy Tech Community College. She will be starting a transition to teaching program at Indiana Wesleyan University in October. Katie has been with Diamond Dance Centre since it opened in 2012. She loves to teach the younger children and be a fundamental part of their dance education. She enjoys watching how they are able to learn the basics and add to them each and every year. She also loves seeing them become amazing and incredible dancers as they progress in their dance education and careers. Not only does she want to provide a well rounded dance education she also would like to help the children learn life skills and team building skills that they will need for outside of the dance world. She hopes to be a light to all that cross her path and a safe space for them to grow and learn.

💜💜Meet Miss Payton!💜💜

Payton Christie is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During her time at IUS, she was recognized on the Chancellor’s List for multiple semesters and gained valuable classroom experience through student teaching, tutoring, and educational field placements.
Payton is also a fourth-grade teacher and has been sharing her passion for dance with students at Diamond Dance Centre for several years. She loves helping dancers build confidence, develop strong technique, and discover a lifelong love for the arts. Payton is excited to continue inspiring and encouraging the next generation of dancers both in the classroom and at the studio.
