Congrats Miss Katie Darnley!

Today, we were excited to welcome our newly hired teachers to Putnam County Schools during New Teacher Orientation!

Throughout the day, our newest educators had the opportunity to learn about the many departments that work together to support our students, staff, and schools. From curriculum and technology to transportation, safety, and student services, teachers gained valuable insight into the resources available to help them succeed.

We are thrilled to have these talented educators joining the Putnam County Schools family and look forward to the positive impact they will make in our classrooms and communities.

Please join us in welcoming our new teachers as they begin their journey with Putnam County Schools. We can't wait to see the difference they will make in the lives of our students! 💙

🎶 Camp Appalachia Summer Concert is TOMORROW! 🎶

We are so excited to see everyone on Friday, August 7th as our campers share all they have worked on this summer!
Here are a few important reminders:

🎵 Camper Arrival: Please have campers at camp by 6:30 PM for check-in.

🎨 Art Auction: Begins at 6:45 PM, with additional artwork available for purchase throughout the evening.

👔 Attire: Campers should wear church or special occasion attire—whether that's casual or dressy, we just want them to feel comfortable!

🎟️ Tickets: Purchase tickets online using the QR code in your concert packet or through the link on our page. Tickets will also be available at the door. (Cash or Venmo at door)

❤️ Donations: If you'd like to support Camp Appalachia, donations can be made at camper drop-off, pick-up, or during the concert. Donations are never expected but are always appreciated and help provide new activities for our campers.

🪑 Seating: Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets, as seating will not be provided.
We can't wait to celebrate with you and see our campers shine! See you tomorrow! 🎉

After 7 incredible summers, this is the final radio call for Miss Grace.

For years, “Go ahead for sign-out” has meant seeing one of the kindest, most patient, and most familiar faces at Camp Appalachia. Hundreds of campers and parents have been greeted with a smile because of her, and she has helped make the end of each camp day just a little more special.

Miss Grace, thank you for the countless hours, the endless patience, and the love you’ve shown to so many camp babies over the years. Your impact reaches far beyond the sign-out table, and Camp Appalachia is a better place because of you.
You’ll always hold the title of the greatest sign-out staff member in the history of the world.

Thank you for seven unforgettable summers and go kick med schools butt!
