The Schenectady County Indians WIN big over Saratoga Stampede 10-4 on Sunday!!!
Schenectady got on the board in the bottom of the second inning with three runs after singles from Jordan Ronan and Christian Tortoricci, scoring Brandon Rotman, Dylan Becker, and Quinn Frodyma form earlier walks.
Four more Schenectady Indians runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 7-2. Brody Becker tripled, scoring one run, Evan Fusco homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Dylan Becker singled, scoring one run.
Then in the bottom of the fifth the Indians scored two more runs a home run to center field by Natalie.
Michael Polsinelli Jr earned the win for Schenectady. Polsinelli and Aiden Bowerman (relief) gave up five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out five and walking three.
Natalie led the with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup, going 1-for-3 on the day. Christian Tortoricci, Jordan Ronan, Mike Polsinelli Jr, Quin Frodyma, Brody Becker, Dylan Becker, and Evan Fusco each collected one hit for Schenectady.
The Indians had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Jordan Ronan and Brody Becker led the team with two bases on balls each. Both Ronan and Becker each stole multiple bases for Schenectady. The team as a whole ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game.
With this win the Indians move into the Semi’s for the Coopers Cave Tournament, playing tonight, July 1, 6:00pm at East Field in Glens Falls.
