CNFR update: Sanders McElroy and his brother Scout (out of Southern Arkansas University) still stand tied for first place in team roping with a third-round time of 4.3 seconds. There are more team roping tandems to compete in tonight's third round before we find out if they win a share of the Rd. 3 roping event.
Carson Powell is in 13th place and will not qualify for tomorrow’s steer wrestling finals (top 12 advance).

CNFR update: After last night's third round of team roping, EMCC's Sanders McElroy and his brother Scout of Southern Arkansas University currently sit tied for first place following a solid run of 4.3 seconds during Wednesday night's performance. The brothers will now wait to see how their first-place time holds up during the remaining portion of Round 3 of team roping that will conclude tonight and tomorrow night.

Tonight will also feature EMCC's Carson Powell participating in third-round steer wrestling and team roping competition with SAU's Westin Barnett.

You can watch CNFR competition each night beginning at 8 PM CST with an ESPN Select subscription.

Congratulations to former Lion, Tyler Miller!

“Miller was batting .310 with 14 homers and 56 RBI over the season’s first 48 games. He drove in 21 tying or go ahead runs and had both of Lancaster’s grand slams.

The Alabama native ranked third in the Atlantic League in both homers and RBI and second in the circuit in total bases.”

CNFR update, team roping: Neither Carson Powell (teaming with SAU's Westin Barnett) nor EMCC team roper Sanders McElroy (teaming with his brother Scout) were able to post scores during Monday's first round. The two tandems were included among the 24 team roping duos (of 57 competing) that were unable to record times yesterday.

Powell and McElroy will participate in the second go-round (Go 2) of team roping slack competition today.

CNFR update, steer wrestling: Ozark Region steer wrestling champion Carson Powell placed 14th in the first round of competition with a time of 5.5 seconds. Finishing the day within the top third of the 42 competing steer wrestlers, Powell was one of 24 participants who posted scores during Monday's opening round.

Powell will compete in the second round of steer wrestling during slack competition today.
