Rock Dog Motorsports Got #4843 from David Taylor in 2017 after he had run it in KOH 2016 and 2017. So here we are ...

Figured initially to make it a trail buggy, but after trail driving it a bunch in 2017, it seemed like a shame not to get the car back for KOH 2018.

Finally finished mounting the new 42” Comp Trepadors and wider and took it for a few runs up and back on the long driveway. Like riding on big soft pillows. No KOH this year due to work but looking forward to some good wheeling trips around CA and OR this year.

Fwiw warming them in the living room for a couple days with the wood stove going was key to popping them on the new rims. The cat however is bummed her new jungle gym /hidey spot has disappeared. 😅

New wider wheels from Raceline Wheels for the holidays to go with the new 42” sticky Maxxis Tires Trepadors for trail wheeling. The original Creepy Crawlers that I got when I bought the car are showing their age (like me) - leaking, getting stiff / cracking, tired. Almost seems a shame to take such nice shiny wheels and bash em into rocks, but that’s where they’re going 🤣

#4843 - KOH2018

Bought this buggy from David Taylor last May 2017. Dave had raced it in KOH 2016 and 2017 and it seemed a shame to not have it get back out for 2018. So here we are. With much work and support from friends, John and I got it ready for KOH 2018. An early exit at race mile 37 after clipping a rock in a sandy wash while trying to make a pass. We’ll get it fixed and be back for 2019.
