M.D.R.A. race results for Saturday 12-2-23.
25 races in the Run What You Brung class, came down to the 69 and 70 Chevelle's of Fred Smith pairing off against each other in the final. The big red 1970 Chevelle won the best two out of three match. It really looked like Roger Gauthier was going to be the man to beat with the " Mad Max" 64 Dodge in the first two rounds, but Fred's buy back with the 69 Chevelle in round one gave him another opportunity to get Rogers Dodge in round three, which he did. Fred Smith took home both winner and runner-up money in R.W.Y.B. Congratulations Fred Smith.
The A/FX class saw Keith Gunnett's pair of altered wheelbase Mopars wiping out the rest of the field and running against each other for the A/FX title in the end. The Golden Commandos injected 65 Plymouth Satellite, beat the Dick Landy injected 65 Dodge Coronet 2 straight for the final runs of the day. Usual late round competitor Fred Smith, uncharacteristically went out in round 2, to end the day for the Chevy camp. Looks as though three of the Ford's will be fighting over third place as we get close to the season's end. Congratulations to the Mopars and Keith Gunnett.
Next race is #16 of 17, the Winter Nationals, on December 16th. Please, don't miss this "Double Points" meet action. Hope to see you there! Gates open at 11:00 am , with 1st round at 1:00 pm.

M.D.R.A. race results for Saturday 11-18-23.
Fred Smith was the big winner in the A/FX class, winning both the number 1 and 2 spots. Fred's 1963 Dana Freeman, AWB injected, Chevy Nova, beat his beautiful orange and white, 1965 Seaton Shaker Chevy Chevelle in the best 2 of 3 match race for the final. Saturday's racing was cut short because of a medical issue with one of the competitors. The last 4 rounds were finished on Weds the 23rd.
In the popular R.W.Y.B. class, it was the 1973 "Goodies" sponsored, blue Camaro of Fred Smith, taking the number one spot for the 2nd week in a row. Runner up was the 2014 Mustang of Keith Gunnett, losing 2 straight to Fred in the final. Once again, CONGRATULATIONS Fred Smith!

R.W.Y.B. and A/FX Match Races, starting at 1:00 pm, open at 12:00 for time trials. $5.00 per car, 2car limit in both classes, $5.00 (one time) driver fee, 1st rd. buy backs in both classes, $5.00 meal deals.

Don't forget Friday test and tune 1:00 - 4:00 pm.

M.D.R.A. Race Results for Saturday 11-04-23.
In 56 Runs down track in the R.W.Y.B. class, it was Fred Smith's 73 Camaro coming out ahead with the win, 2 straight over Keith Gunnett's 2000 Corvette. Mike Edison's 34 Ford pickup and Keith Gunnett's 55 Chevy were the semi-finalists.
7 cars showed for the first time running of A/FX as a regular class, which made for 13 matches. Ford, Chevy and Mopar cars were present. Final round was Fred Smith's, Dana Freeman 64 Chevy 2, beating Keith Gunnett's 65 Golden Commandos Plymouth to the stripe two straight. Congratulations FRED!
The A/FX cars are popular with everybody and even more new cars will be showing up for future races.
