This is by far the hardest post I’ve ever had to write. After 16 years, our time here at Hyper is coming to an end this Saturday, September 13.

The building will be turned over to the Village of Schiller Park and demolished, as they have bigger plans for it. As much as we’ve tried to find another way, moving and going through another full renovation just isn’t possible for us right now. This space has been our home, and our hearts are here.

When we say this is more than a gym, we truly mean it. Our son Max took his very first steps here while “working” 9 to 5 by my side as a baby—and now he’s a freshman, or when we all watched Andrzej Fonfara's beginnings and his road to glory. Over the years, these walls have witnessed so much more than workouts: Andrzej Fonfara's fights and after parties, Smokers, Hyper Fight Nights, charity events, community workouts on New Year’s, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve; birthday celebrations, after parties, Christmas parties and unforgettable Hyper Galas; multiple expansion projects that so many of you were part of, all the fitness challenges we tackled together, and so much more... This space has held not only your sweat and determination, but also some of the most cherished memories of our lives. We often joke "We're not sure if the gym is our life, or if we just go the gym because we have no life. Either way...we're going to the gym again". And honestly- that's been us for last 16 year.

Together, we’ve built something so much bigger than boxing gym. We’ve celebrated milestones, cheered each other on, and created friendships that will last far beyond these walls. That’s what makes this goodbye so hard.

Please join this week for FINAL PUSH workouts, take a picture, send some good word our way! it would mean the world to us.

Special thanks to both founding fathers, Andrzej & Bogdan, as without their vision and passion for the sport of boxing, it would just not be the same. It all started in in a small area next to a polish store and turned into 2 strong boxing gyms, Hyper and Champions Factory. 🤝
