Excited to announce that Nick is now giving baseball lessons at District Sports Academy!

A San Antonio native, Nick brings 15 years of coaching experience and a professional playing career to his work with athletes in La Vernia. He works with players from beginners through high school, specializing in pitching, throwing development, and hitting.

Nick was an all-district, all-area, and all-state outfielder at James Madison High School. At Weatherford College, he earned all-conference honors as both an outfielder and pitcher before the Washington Nationals selected him in the 18th round of the 2011 draft.

His professional career included a Carolina League championship, two Arizona Fall League appearances, a place on Washington’s 40-man roster, and Major League Spring Training invitations in 2016 and 2017. He later won a championship with the Kansas City T-Bones in 2018, earned All-Star honors in 2019, and finished his playing career with the Generales de Durango in Mexico.

Coaching is part of Nick’s family story. His parents were longtime PE teachers and coaches, and athletics have been a part of life for his siblings and wife, too. One of his greatest joys has been coaching his son from childhood through college baseball at Galveston College.

As a player, coach, and parent, Nick understands that every athlete’s path is different. His approach emphasizes focused work, purposeful practice, and building confidence with a clear plan for development.
