Roberto Vaca Drives 7 Runners Home In MSL Knights Victory Over Punishers and go to 3-0 on season

Roberto Vaca drove in seven runs on four hits to lead MSL Knights past Punishers 33-4 on Saturday at Redmond Park. Vaca doubled in the third scoring three, doubled in the fourth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the second scoring one.
MSL Knights jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Liam Brown hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Steve Podany drew a walk, scoring one run, Vaca singled, scoring one run, Luis Soto drew a walk, scoring one run, Luke Figueroa drew a walk, scoring one run, and Dakota Marino hit a grand slam to left field.
MSL Knights added six more runs in the bottom of the second inning on five hits. Nate Marchen doubled, scoring one run, Brown homered to left field, scoring three runs, Vaca singled, scoring one run, and Soto doubled, scoring one run.
MSL Knights scored 15 runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Marchen drew a walk, scoring one run, Clay White singled, scoring one run, Connor Cummings drew a walk, scoring one run, Brown drew a walk, scoring one run, Liam Poe singled, scoring one run, Podany was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Vaca doubled, scoring three runs, Ryan Ellis doubled, scoring two runs, #23 induced Ryan Cruz to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Marchen singled, scoring two runs, and Cummings was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Podany earned the win for MSL Knights. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. #23 took the loss for Punishers. The hurler went two innings, surrendering 10 runs (eight earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking four. #21 led things off on the bump for Punishers. The pitcher surrendered five hits and 11 runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking seven. Brown, Francisco Fernandez, and Cruz each appeared in relief for MSL Knights.
MSL Knights piled up 18 hits in the game. Marchen, Poe, Marino, and Figueroa each collected multiple hits for MSL Knights. Cummings led MSL Knights with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 20 walks for the game.
#26 and #7 each drove in two runs for Punishers. #7 led Punishers with two hits in three at bats.
