The SCA changed how it measures quality — and there’s a limited window to get ahead of it.

The Coffee Value Assessment (CVA) is the SCA’s new industry-wide framework for evaluating coffee. If you roast, cup, buy green, or make quality calls at your bar, fluency in the CVA is no longer a nice-to-have.

Our CVA training walks you through all four assessment types — descriptive, affective, extrinsic, and physical — through live instruction and hands-on cupping. By the end, you’re scoring any coffee against the current SCA protocol with confidence.

Next cohort starts October 22nd and 23rd. There's a limited number of seats remaining.

After this cohort? There won't be another opportunity to learn these forms. The SCA is retiring this class effective 11/30/2026. These forms are integrated into all the SCA sensory classes, from Sensory Skills Foundation to the new Evolved Q Grader class. Now is the time to get ahead of the curve.
