This month, we're spotlighting Coach Riley! πŸ–€

If you've trained in the mornings, there's a good chance you've seen Riley. He brings a steady, encouraging presence to the gym and is passionate about helping clients stay focused on the long game. Whatever your goal is, Riley is always ready to help you take the next step forward.

Why he coaches:
"I enjoy coaching because fitness is a big part of my life. I've been lifting for over ten years, and I like being able to share my knowledge with my clients."

His favorite moment to see in a client's journey:
"One of my favorite moments is when my clients begin to see the progress they are making. I like when a client sets a specific goal and then achieves it."

What he wishes beginners knew:
"I wish more clients realized that it takes time and consistency to reach their fitness goals."

What he loves most about Iron Legion:
"Iron Legion is a fun, supportive community. I enjoy the camaraderie with the staff and our clients."

Favorite lift:
"My favorite lift is the deadlift because it's a full-body compound exercise."

Something you might not know about him:
"People might be surprised to learn that I love water sports like fishing and surfing."

Coach Riley brings experience, consistency, and a genuine passion for helping others improve. He understands that progress doesn't happen overnight, and he's always there to help clients stay focused on the habits that lead to long-term success. We're grateful to have him on the Scarborough team. πŸ’ͺ

If you've trained with Riley, drop a comment and share something he's helped you improve. πŸ‘‡πŸ–€

Food is not the enemy. πŸ”₯

One of the most common things we see is people trying to eat as little as possible while expecting their body to perform, recover, build muscle, lose fat, and feel good.

The problem? Your body needs fuel to do those things.

When calories stay too low for too long, energy drops, workouts suffer, recovery slows down, and progress often stalls.

Food is fuel. And sometimes the next step forward isn't eating less. It's learning to properly support your body.

In this week's blog, Andrew breaks down why eating more may actually help you feel, perform, and progress better.

Think about something that used to feel impossible.

Maybe it was your first push-up, your first squat, or your first workout after years away from the gym. Maybe it wasn't fitness-related at all. It could have been starting a new job, having a difficult conversation, becoming a parent, or beginning again after a setback.

Most of the things we do comfortably today once felt overwhelming.

That's one of the amazing things about being human. We adapt. We grow. We become capable of things we once couldn't imagine.

Strength training reminds us of that lesson every day. The exercises, weights, and challenges that seem intimidating when we start often become routine with enough time and consistency.

Keep showing up! πŸ’ͺπŸ–€

Who is someone you wish could experience what you've found at the Legion? πŸ€”

Maybe it's a friend who's been wanting to get stronger.

Maybe it's a family member who's trying to get back into a routine.

Maybe it's a coworker who's looking for a supportive place to start.

Starting Sunday, June 14th, through June 20th, your friends and family can join you for a FREE training session and see what this community is all about. πŸ’ͺ

They'll get to experience our coaching, meet our team, and see firsthand that strength training doesn't have to be intimidating.

No pressure. No expectations. Just an opportunity to move, learn, and discover what training in a supportive environment can look like.

If you know someone who's been curious about what you do at the gym every week, now is the perfect time to bring them along.

Talk to your coach and let us know who you're bringing! πŸ”₯πŸ–€

This month we're excited to highlight Ellie Mental Health - Falmouth, ME.

Their team is committed to making mental health care more accessible, approachable, and personalized. They provide a welcoming, judgment-free environment where people can feel comfortable being themselves and getting the support they need.

At Iron Legion, we know that health is about more than what happens in the gym. Physical health, mental health, recovery, and overall well-being are all connected. Having trusted professionals in our community who support people through life's challenges helps create stronger individuals and stronger communities.

We're proud to have them as part of our community and grateful for the work they do every day. πŸ’ͺπŸ–€

One of the biggest mistakes people make when starting their fitness journey is trying to do everything at once.

The people who make lasting progress don't usually have more motivation, more time, or better genetics.

They have better habits.

The most successful gym-goers schedule their workouts, plan ahead, stay consistent, challenge themselves appropriately, and support their training with good nutrition.

None of these habits are complicated, but they work.

In his latest blog, Andrew breaks down five simple habits that can help you avoid common pitfalls and make your fitness journey more successful.

Check it out below. πŸ’ͺπŸ‘‡

There's something powerful about realizing you're capable of more than you thought. πŸ–€

Michelle's experience is a reminder that strength training isn't just about building muscle. It's about building confidence, discipline, and trust in yourself. Through consistency, support, and hard work, she's discovered just how strong she can be and built a deeper belief in herself along the way. πŸ’ͺ

We're grateful she took the time to share her experience and trust us to be part of her journey.

Thank you, Michelle. We're proud to have you in the Legion. πŸ”₯βš”

Bring a Friend Week is back! πŸ’ͺ

From June 14th-20th, invite someone to join you for a free workout and show them what this community is all about.

Whether it's a friend, coworker, spouse, or family member, this is a great opportunity to help someone take that first step toward feeling stronger, healthier, and more confident.

Their session is completely FREE, and they'll get the chance to:

βš”οΈ Experience a coached workout
βš”οΈ Meet our team
βš”οΈ See how our training works
βš”οΈ Connect with an incredible community

We know walking into a new gym can feel intimidating. That's why we're committed to meeting people where they're at and helping them feel welcome from day one, regardless of their experience level.

Talk to your coach about bringing a friend and let's help someone discover that strength is for everyone. πŸ–€
