TRAIN HARDER… OR TRAIN SMARTER?

How you think about training matters!

Some days you’re fired up to train.

Other days… you just get it done.

Today was an upper-body push/pull day, a little single-leg work, and 6 minutes of 30/30 intervals on the rower to finish.

Nothing fancy. Just a plan, some effort, and another day checked off.

I’ve also been using my Morpheus app lately to pay more attention to what my body is actually telling me—not just how hard I think I’m working. Heart rate, recovery, conditioning… it all gives me another piece of the picture.

Because at this point, I’m not interested in just beating myself up for an hour.

I want to train hard enough to make progress, recover well enough to do it again, and keep stacking good days.

That’s the part of fitness that isn’t very exciting—but it works.

How often do you track your workouts or recovery—or do you mostly go by feel?

08/12/2026

You’re putting in the work… so why aren’t you seeing the results?

Sometimes the answer isn’t that you need to work harder.

It’s that a few things outside the workout may be holding you back.

That’s what I wanted to talk about on today’s walk—3 things I see people overlook when they feel like they’re doing everything right but their progress has stalled.

And this is where I think a lot of people get frustrated. They assume they need another workout, more cardio, or to push even harder.

Sometimes you need to look at the bigger picture.

Training matters. Nutrition matters. Recovery matters. And most importantly, what you do consistently over time matters.

Before you decide something ā€œisn’t working,ā€ take an honest look at what might actually be missing.

Which one of the 3 do you think you struggle with the most?

08/11/2026

There's enough stress in the world, but your post workout shake doesn't have to be.

Whey protein for quick absorption and muscle recovery šŸ’ŖšŸ»

ALWAYS simple carbs for digestion (banana, oatmeal, mixed fruit etc)
(carbs don't make you fat)

Your amount may vary but I aim for minimum 40g of protein and overall 1g of protein per lb of body weight for the day!

Don't over think it but make it a priority to refuel

If you were active and worked at being a better you I cheers šŸ» you!

If it's 15 min maybe 60min or just doing the hardest part and walking in the gym door good on you. Whatever exercise looks to you just focus on being a better version than yesterday!

Consistency is the consistent KEY to your success!
