Certified survival swim instructor offering 1:1 lessons for infants through adults. In AZ Darcey taught lessons in a public and private lesson setting.

Darcey Smith grew up a swimmer, she swam for and competed with the Arizona Aqua Stars, a nationally competitive synchronized swimming team, until the age of 16. As a college student Darcey was a certified lifeguard and water safety instructor. Darcey was also the head coach of the Scottsdale Synchronized Swim Team. After moving to Oklahoma in 1998 Darcey began teaching private swim lessons. In 202

0 Darcey spent a month in Florida training under the direction of Joy McGinty, founder of PediaSwim, to complete her certification as a survival swim instructor. Darcey has since brought survival swim to numerous communities including Elk City, Weatherford, Altus and Ardmore, teaching hundreds of children lifesaving skills. In 2021 Darcey was invited back to Southwest Aquatics in Winter Garden, Florida to teach with the PediaSwim and Gift of Swim program. This opportunity allowed her to work side by side with some of the best instructors in the industry for 9 weeks. Darcey’s passion for water safety is evident in the two year round locations she splits her time at in Elk City and Weatherford. You will find her in the pool teaching 12 months out of the year because there truly is no season for drowning.

I am so excited to share that Jaime Partain is currently in Florida earning her PediaSwim Instructor certification 🏊🏻‍♀️
Jaime lives in Elk City and is looking forward to keeping all of our western Oklahoma kiddos water safe!
Ms Darcey will still be around 😊 I am excited to have someone I love and trust that will be consistently available in Elk City.
This will also allow me to continue to work on some passion projects that I look forward to sharing soon 🫶🏻
