Today's finisher was a little different! Instead of another round of burpees, we jogged (and mall-walked!) down to the railroad tracks to see the legendary Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive. 🚂💨

Big Boy is the world's largest operating steam locomotive—over 130 feet long, weighing about 1.2 million pounds, and originally built in 1941 to haul heavy freight through the Rocky Mountains. Of the 25 Big Boy locomotives ever built, No. 4014 is the only one still operating.

This year, Big Boy is making its first-ever coast-to-coast tour as part of America's 250th Anniversary celebration, traveling through 14 states on its way to Philadelphia for Independence Day festivities. The tour honors the role railroads played in building and connecting our nation.

Not a bad way to finish a workout—fresh air, a little extra walking, and a chance to witness a piece of living American history!
