The Chatham County Aquatic Center is now offering drop in swim lessons! The first drop in schedule will be for the week starting on September 7th. The drop in lessons schedule will be posted on Mondays at 11am. You can call in advance to sign up or “drop-in” for a lesson. The first schedule is out now. We can’t wait to see you!

Congratulations to our employees of the month! Our swim instructor of the month is Wyatt Boyd. Wyatt is always ready to come in and help his coworkers, even if it means staying late or coming in early. He is dedicated to making sure everyone is having the highest quality lessons! Our lifeguard of the month is Isabella Trojan. Bella is an incredibly hard worker and is always making sure her shifts are run smoothly. Come see us and make sure to congratulate these amazing workers!

Save the date for the 15th Annual Gage Ochsner Kids Fishing & Water Safety Event on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Tybee Island Pier & Pavilion.

This FREE event is open to children ages 5–13. Kids will visit educational booths and then go fishing! All participants receive a fishing rod & reel and tackle box. Volunteers will be on the pier to assist with baiting hooks. Parents must accompany children during the event (1 parent for 3 children). Lunch is provided for everyone.

Congratulations to our employees of the month! Our swim instructor of the month is Nicole Withers. Nicole specializes in teaching baby classes and adaptive aquatics lessons. She is incredibly patient and is always looking for ways to improve her lessons. Our lifeguard of the month is Gabriel Lawson- Boothby. He has recently been promoted to head lifeguard. He is always working to ensure every patron has a safe and enjoyable visit. We are so grateful for the hard work and dedication from our incredible staff! Come see us and congratulate them!

On Saturdays is August, the Lap Pool will be Long Course (50 Meters) from 7:00-11:45AM and Short Course from 12:00-6:00PM.

Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team is hosting 2026 LCM Peach State Championships starting on Friday, July 10, 2026.

The facility will be closed most of the weekend. Both pools will open Friday, July 10th from 6:00-8:00AM & 12:00-3:45PM & Saturday, July 11th from 7:00-8:00AM & 12:00-3:45PM for lap and recreation swimming.

The facility will be open on Monday, July 13th at 6:00AM with regular hours of operation.
