Our 2025 events concluded with what has been our most exciting outing yet!

On July 28, 40 golfers began qualifying for 20 spots in our inaugural Donkey Trot. 124 scores were posted over a period of five weeks to set our field.

The qualifying scores ranged from 76 to 114 from the 5,400 yard Duncan Hills Golf Course white tees. 84 made the cut line.

Saturday the weather broke beautiful, a high of 71 had much of the gallery in long sleeves before the event concluded.

With 45 carts spectating the event, over 100 onlookers spent the afternoon watching our field play for $2,500.

When the chips fell, Terry Ellis/Zale Bledsoe bested Trevor Moss/Than Wagers in a chip off on the second to last hole to see who would meet Matt Thompson/Dave McGinness on the final tee box.

One playoff hole was needed, where Thompson/McGinness parred and Ellis/Bledsoe bogeyed, concluding the event.

We can’t thank Dee McCullagh and Emily Hummer enough for allowing us to host this event where all of our proceeds support Savannah High School Golf and Duncan Hills Golf Course directly!

The Donkey Trot field is set!

Join on Saturday at Duncan Hills Golf Course to watch our top 20 in a true alternate shot format horse race!

We’ll have carts available for rent, a beer cart traveling with the gallery, betting with live odds on the teams, and a killer tool raffle to support our scholarship and course improvement fund.

5 weeks of qualifying has brought us down to the last day. When the chips fall tomorrow, we’ll have our top 20 set with a pot of $2,500.

Don’t forget to join us next Saturday at Duncan Hills Golf Course for our 1:30 tee off.

We’ll have betting open with live odds up to the first tee shot. There will be a tool raffle, a beer cart following the gallery, and rental carts available for $10/seat.

We were greeted with great weather today as we buttoned up our final tournament of the year!

Our Red, White, and Blue tournament paid out $1,350 in flights, $100 in closest to the pin, $90 on 50/50 and $320 in skins!

Top 20 scores make it into our September 6th event, paired in a 1/20, 2/19, 3/18 sequence.
