Next up, Donnetta “LilBit” Jackson!!

Donnetta "LilBit" Jackson is a versatile dance performer, instructor, choreographer, and actress. Born and raised on the Southeast Side of Chicago, IL, she began dancing at The Sammy Dyer School of the Theatre at the age of 7. At 11 years old, she became one of the original members of the prestigious M.A.D.D. Rhythms tap company, and later joined the Chicago Footwork crew, Creation Battle Clique / Creation Global. She choreographs for and performs with Grammy award-winning artist, Chance the Rapper. One highlight of her career is performing alongside Missy Elliot at the 2019 VMAs for her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award performance.

Jackson, recently acknowledged as a sister with superpower for rolling out magazine, has also footworked internationally, for corporations like Nike and Jordan and has competed on Season 6 of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew with the Chicago FootworKINGz. Recently, Jackson appeared on the Fox/Hulu dance series, The Big Leap, as Tamra Smalls, was one of the lead dancers in the red hot chilli peppers new video “The Drummer” & also created her own show called “A M.A.D.D Mixtape”!

It’s time to meet our dynamic Faculty!!!

Next up, our newest member Demi Remick!

Demi Remick is a tap dancer, choreographer, burlesque performer, and teacher. Demi has toured worldwide with Postmodern Jukebox and has acquired over 5 million views on her Super Mario Tap Medley YouTube video. She has danced for Dorrance Dance, Caleb Teicher, Jason Samuels Smith, Derek Deane, and alongside the American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet principal dancers. She has performed in cabaret shows for Dita Von Teese, Spiegelworld, Quixotic Fusion, Company XIV, and Lady Gaga's band leader, Brian Newman with Angie Pontani. She has performed at venues such as The Sydney Opera House, The London Palladium, The Ryman Auditorium, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Royal Albert Hall to name a few. She was Dance Magazine’s Top-25-To-Watch (2014), a YoungArts Gold winner (2013), a Capezio Athlete, and had a LaDuca 2024 LaSale Commemorative tap shoe made in her honor, The Retro.

Demi has taught tap dance internationally, is on faculty at DanceMakers Inc., and earned her BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance.

Next up Aaron Parkurst!

Aaron has over two decades of Tap dance experience, he received his early dance training in his hometown of Albany, NY, and has worked professionally for the past 10 years in NYC, which he now calls his home.

Aaron currently tours teaching Tap for Revel Dance Convention, has toured with Break The Floors 24 Seven Dance Convention, Shuffles NYC, Dance Masters of America and Sheer Talent Competition and Convention. Currently you can catch him teaching at Broadway Dance Center in New York City, as well as the American Tap Festival , a week long tap intensive directed by Mike Minery and Anthony Morigerato. He also teaches weekly classes throughout NYC, and travels the country to choreograph and instruct master-classes. Aaron enjoys teaching and passing on his love for dance to younger generations, his passion for dance education has lead him to the title of Area Director for the Inspirare Dance Workshop, a personalized dance intensive that encourages personal and professional growth for dancers of all levels and ages!

It’s time to meet our dynamic Faculty!!

Next up, Wyatt Oswald a New York–based artist represented by MSA Agency. Originally from Savannah, Georgia. Wyatt’s early career highlights include three consecutive seasons on the Broadway National Tour of A Christmas Story, where he performed multiple roles and showcased his rhythm and precision in the show’s featured tap solo.

Now based in New York City, Wyatt continues to expand his craft as a performer and creator. His recent performance credits include dancing alongside Stray Kids, A$AP Rocky, and dancing with IShowSpeed for the World Cup Final. He is currently dancing with SHINSA THE COLLECTIVE, under the direction of Bo Park, and actively collaborates on stage and screen projects. Most recently, Wyatt was honored to join the Tap Dance Performance Ensemble at The School at Jacob’s Pillow, where he trained under some of the most influential names in the tap world, including Derick K. Grant, Dormeshia, Heather Cornell, Dominique Kelley, Lisa La Touche, Nicholas Van Young, Sam Weber, and Josette Wiggan.

First Up, the one and only Emmy Award Winner Jason Samuels Smith, (Tap Dancer, Choreographer, Performer), American Choreography Award, and Gregory Hines Humanitarian Award. Television/film and choreography credits include Outkast’s “Idlewild”; “Black Nativity”; Psych; Secret Talents of the Stars (MYA); “So You Think You Can Dance”; Dean Hargrove’s “Tap Heat”. Stage Credits include Broadway’s Bring in Da’Noise, Bring in Da’Funk; Debbie Allen’s Soul Possessed, and Imagine Tap!. His touring works included India Jazz Suites as documented in “Upaj: Improvise”, A.C.G.I. Tap Company, Going The Miles, Chasin’ The Bird, and Dormeshia’s And Still You Must Swing. Director of L.A. Tap Festival and Tap Family Reunion, Jason supports DRA/Broadway Cares, Tied to Greatness, CTFD/The Actors Fund, Groove with Me, TapTakeOverHarlem, amfAR, and AHF among others.
