Update from SilencerShop 9/1/2026:

Guidance is still coming.

SilencerShop wasn’t expecting this case to move so quickly. They were expecting another 9-12 months. Shipping times after Form 3 approval are about 15 days.

Meanwhile, Form 4 applications for Individuals and Trusts are coming back in 2-3 days.

I’ve got some cans in stock and more on the way. If it’s not on the shelf you can anticipate the wait times on inventory and delivery to go up with the demand.

Let me know if there’s anything you want to see and I’ll get it inbound.

Folks, if you don’t know I’ve been an SOT dealer since 2017 and personally in the NFA game since 2012. I do everything I can to make the NFA process seamless for you. Just decide on a can and I’ll do everything to lawfully transfer that to you. Everything from the application, digital prints and photos, to Trusts and notary.

Here’s why I still recommend the Form 4 application:

The Texas injunction made a path forward to challenge the NFA but made things very complicated. Having a Form 4 protects you in the meantime and allows you to cross state lines where the injunction may not apply. The Form 4 also maintains the registration which allows you to sell the silencer in the future. Until the NFA is changed, there is NOTHING you can do with that can if it leaves on a 4473 only. You’re stuck with it for life. Also, with a 4473 can, YOU are the only one under the injunction that can possess it. The injunction offers NO protection for your spouse, children, roommates, or anyone that may come into contact with the can. Which also means there’s no way to pass the can down after death of the owner. These are just some of the major concerns that affect you, the buyer.

Until these issues can be resolved in the courts, I recommend the traditional Form 4 application.

I’ll be more than happy to transfer via a 4473-only once the law protects both of us.

Come get your silencer after filling out a 4473! Did you know a Missouri CCW will suffice in places of a NICS check?? You can also skip the NICS check with an approved Form 4! All fi***rm transactions from a FFL have always required a 4473 even with an approved tax stamp. At this time an approved Form 4 is still required for interstate movement and registration.
