We can’t thank our Matside Savage Club Boosters enough for everything they’ve done for this program — and a huge thank you to Il Lazzarone St Joseph & A.C. Swimming Pools for helping us celebrate in such a special way! 🍕

As we officially close out an unforgettable wrestling season, the Matside Savage Club had the honor of hosting our end-of-year banquet — a night dedicated to celebrating a truly historic year for Savannah High School Wrestling 🤼🖤💛

A huge THANK YOU to Il Lazzarone, a family-owned Neapolitan pizzeria in St. Joseph, MO, for generously donating their time and catering services for our event. Their commitment to giving back to the community does not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful to be on the receiving end of that support.

Just like our wrestlers have poured countless hours into the mat — showing grit, discipline, and heart all season long — Il Lazzarone showed that same spirit of dedication in serving our team and families. It’s partnerships like these that make what we do possible. ❤️

The banquet was not only a celebration of a history-making season, but also a moment for the Matside Savage Club to reflect on the power of community support behind this program.

Because of YOU, this season we were able to:
• Cover hotel lodging for two out-of-town tournaments
• Pay for membership to the Missouri Wrestling Coaches Association
• Provide all wins & pins banners to recognize athlete milestones
• Treat the team to a pizza dinner after the state meet
• Purchase 3 new iPads, stands, and data plans for match recording & stats (a much-needed upgrade!)
• Supplies for wrestling room renovations
• New audio equipment for wrestling room
• Invest in new recognition boards for the wrestling room (pictures coming soon!)

This program is built on more than wins and medals. It’s built on family, commitment, and a community that shows up time and time again.

🏆 STATE FINALS UPDATE 🏆

🥈 Deagen Pasley finishes his incredible high school career as a State Runner-Up. We are extremely proud of everything he’s accomplished in a Savannah singlet!

🥈 Kaiden Phillips battled thru the finals and also finishes as a State Runner-Up after a hard-fought match. We are so proud!

🥉Braylon Ellis wrestled his last ever wrestling match and won 5-1 taking 3rd Place!
🏅Lawson Francis lost 6-1 taking 4th Place!
🏅Landon Smith lost by pin taking 4th Place!
🏅Caylor Schrick lost by pin taking 6th Place!

What a season these wrestlers have had! We are so proud of all of you!!

Deagen and Kaiden will wrestle in the finals starting around 5:15 (ish).

Deagen will wrestle on Mat 6.

Kaiden will wrestle on Mat 5.

Landon, Lawson, and Braylon will be wrestling for 3rd! Caylor will be wrestling for 5th! These matches will start at 3:30!

Deagen and Kaiden will be wrestling for 1st at 5:45. The Finalist Parade will start at 5:15!

Landon, Lawson, Caylor, and Braylon will wrestle one more time before placement matches. If they win their match, they will wrestle for 3rd and 4th. If they lose their match, they will wrestle for 5th and 6th.

We are ready to start day 2!!

Reminder for those at home, you can watch LIVE for $15. There are 8 mats with different cameras to watch. Here’s what we know so far to try to help!

We know this is confusing to the common person who doesnt know how wrestling tournaments work, but here’s our best shot of explaining it!

Certain mats are dedicated to the different positions within the brackets as we move thru.

For the first round: Landon, Lawson, Caylor, Deagen, and Kaiden are wrestling in the semi-finals. These matches will take place on mat 3, 4, 5 or 6. Braylon is wresting in the consolation blood round and will be on mat 1,2,7 or 8.

As mats finish, the next match number will go to the finished mat, therefore it is kind of random. Attached in the screenshot you will see their bout (match) number. Today is starting with bout #2281. You can check their bout number with the possible mat numbers to have an idea of when they will be up.

The next round the mat assignments will be different as we wrestle the semi-consolation matches, and so forth.

We attached their match numbers for this round and the schedule for today. Stay tuned for updates starting shortly after 12:15!
