Every Himalayan Kriya Journey is prepared with a lot of intention.

Not in a rigid way, but by tuning into what’s present:
The space, the people in it, the season we’re in, what’s moving us collectively.

From there, the practice takes shape. The breath, the Kriyas, the mantra, the music all come together to support a certain opening.

Sometimes it’s about release. Sometimes about finding untapped inner strength. Sometimes creating space for something deeper to be seen.

What happens in the room is never random.
It’s an utterly intentional process. One that, when it lands, can shift how you experience yourself
far beyond the practice itself.

Grateful for the shared journey at the beautiful space of over Easter.

Those who were there have felt it.
If you haven’t experienced it yet, you’re welcome to step into it.

Chronic activation in the nervous system affects everything: energy levels, clarity, mood, resilience, and the body’s ability to process emotional and physical stress.

Most people carry far more tension than they realize, and without learning how to discharge it, the system never fully resets.

Nervous System Recovery is a practical, floor-based workshop designed to help you release accumulated tension and bring your system back into balance.

Through targeted breathwork, somatic release techniques, and gentle stretching, you’ll learn how to interrupt stress patterns, restore internal steadiness, and create the conditions for deeper rest, emotional unwinding, and day-to-day resilience.

You will learn how to:

💎 Use breath to regulate the autonomic nervous system and shift out of chronic activation

💎 Release muscular and fascial tension that keeps the body in a reactive state

💎 Support emotional unwinding through somatic techniques that promote internal safety

💎 Build resilience by improving the system’s capacity to downshift and recover

💎 Apply simple, repeatable tools for daily grounding and resetting

This workshop is accessible to all mobility levels and requires no prior yoga experience. Ideal for anyone seeking a more balanced baseline, steadier energy, and a deeper sense of internal calm.

Resurrection is usually approached as a question of belief.

Did it happen?
Do you believe in it or not?

But when you spend a bit more time with these kinds of stories, that question starts to feel less important.

Myth has its own language. It doesn’t try to convince the mind. It works more quietly, somewhere in the background, and points toward things that are difficult to put into clear statements.

When you read the story of Jesus from that place, it begins to open up in a different way.
It stops being about a single event in time and starts to reflect something about our own experience.

There are moments on the path where the sense of being a separate “someone” begins to fall away. Not as an idea, but quite literally. The constant movement of becoming, improving, trying to get somewhere…it starts to lose its center.

And what remains is not something you can easily describe.
Life is still here. You still move, speak, relate.

But it’s not driven in the same way. There’s a kind of simplicity to it. A closeness to life as it is. Unburdened. Uncentered around self.

This is one way of understanding what resurrection points to. Not as something to believe in, but as something that can be discovered directly.

I’ll be holding a Himalayan Kriya Yoga Journey this Saturday at Lighthouse Yoga Studio, exploring this theme through practice.
Registration is available through the studio schedule.

An initiatory pathway into a 90-day personal practice for inner awakening, prosperity, and fulfilment.

The Sri Yantra Sadhana is a disciplined inner practice traditionally transmitted within dedicated yogic lineages.

It is designed to gradually reorganize one’s relationship to fulfilment, both material and spiritual.

In this immersion, participants are prepared and formally initiated into the practice, and supported throughout the full 90-day cycle.

Over time, this work can lead to greater inner stability, clarity, a more coherent relationship with desire and direction, and greater receptivity to the values of Sri: bliss, beauty, grace, abundance, and fulfilment.

The immersion includes full instruction in the Sri Yantra Sadhana (including its deeper meaning), guided group initiation, ongoing support throughout the 90-day practice, and one follow-up Zoom integration call.

Each participant also receives a consecrated Sri Yantra and mala for their personal practice to anchor the process.

For those who would like to prepare their nervous system for the initiation experience, two Himalayan Kriya Yoga Journey classes are being offered as part of the regular studio schedule in the weeks leading up to the immersion (March 28 and April 18).

These can be attended as preparation or experienced on their own.

Prerequisite for the Sri Yantra immersion: basic meditation practice established and readiness to commit to 90-day personal practice.

Facilitated by Svenja
$144 | Limited to 15 participants

There is more than one way to practice yoga. Kriya is where the practice becomes more internal.

Most people are introduced to yoga through asana, the physical practice.

And for good reason. Asana builds awareness, stability, and sensitivity in the body. It refines attention and prepares the ground for deeper exploration.

But within the broader body of yogic practices, it is one part of a much larger methodology.

Kriya belongs to those deeper layers.

It may include movement, breath, and attention, but the emphasis begins to shift.

From working primarily with the body,
to working more directly with the inner field through which the body and mind are experienced.

The nervous system.
What yogic science refers to as prana, the animating force of life.
The breath as a bridge.

And beyond that, even subtler dimensions of experience.
Layers of perception, intuitive knowing, and a sense of wholeness that often remain unnoticed when attention stays on the surface.

Rather than creating change through form, Kriya works more subtly, influencing the state of the system from within.

Over time, this begins to shift patterns at their root. Not by controlling the mind, but by changing the underlying state from which thoughts, emotions, and reactions arise.

At a certain depth, the practice is no longer only about refinement.

It begins to reveal something that was never absent to begin with.

A recognition that does not come from effort, but from the settling of everything that obscures it.

This is also why Kriya has traditionally been approached with care.

Not as something to casually try, but as a process that unfolds with the right preparation and guidance.

Asana and Kriya are not separate paths.
They support each other.

One prepares the ground.
The other deepens the process.

For those who sense that yoga goes beyond the physical, this is often where that exploration truly begins.

I’ll be guiding Himalayan Kriya Yoga Journeys in the coming weeks at in Alpharetta (March 28, and April 18) and in Miami (April 4).

For those who don’t know me yet, I’m Svenja, a Master teacher of Himalayan Kriya Yoga and the founder of .

Yoga is often reduced to physical exercise in the modern world. But traditionally it is a complete path working with the body, breath, mind, and subtle energy to access deeper states of clarity, inner freedom and unity.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be guiding a series of practices where we explore yoga in this fuller sense, through breathwork, kriya, meditation, and intentional movement.

If you’re curious to experience these deeper dimensions of yoga, I’d love to take you onto the following journeys:

There is a growing discomfort around the word Guru in modern culture. And honestly, I understand why.

Too many stories have surfaced about the misuse of power within spiritual communities. Each new headline reinforces the suspicion that the whole idea of “guruism” is something naive or dangerous.

When I recently heard the allegations surrounding Deepak Chopra in relation to Epstein, I felt a quiet sadness. Not only for what such stories may reveal, but also because they inevitably deepen the collective distrust toward a relationship that in its truest form is profoundly sacred.

In Sanskrit, guru means “the dispeller of darkness.” Traditionally, a Guru is not simply a teacher or instructor. A Guru is someone who embodies a realization that points you back to your own essential nature and inner freedom. Someone who becomes a bridge between confusion and clarity, suffering and fulfilment.

Because of this, the relationship between a teacher and a student carries immense power. And precisely because it requires openness and humility it is also vulnerable.

Every sincere seeker at some point open their hearts to someone who seems to embody the wisdom they long for. We listen, and we allow ourselves to be shaped.

But even someone who carries profound insight is still human. And no matter how devoted we may feel, one thing must never be surrendered: our own discernment.

Many learn this the hard way. Through moments of disillusionment with teachers we once placed on a pedestal. Sometimes those moments reveal genuine misuse of power. Other times they simply expose our own wounds and expectations.

The real question is not whether a teacher is perfect.

The real question is whether their presence ultimately empowers your sovereignty, or quietly asks you to remain smaller.

A true teacher does not replace your inner authority.
They help you strengthen it.

I feel deeply grateful for the guidance I have received along my path, especially from my revered teacher in India . A relationship that continually reminds me that the purpose of the Guru is not devotion to the person. It is the awakening of the light and the Guru within yourself.

Most change doesn’t fail because we’re not trying hard enough.
It fails because it’s happening at the wrong level.

Real shift begins when there’s contact
with what precedes effort altogether.
