Our team finished the 2026 spring semester with an impressive 3.43 team GPA. That continues to surpass our athletic department’s goal of a 3.0 GPA!

13 student-athletes earned a 3.5+ GPA, including 5 Lakers who achieved a perfect 4.0 this semester.

At Lake Superior State University, the Women’s Hockey team has access to:

- Private and shared athletic facilities including a weight room, shooting room, student athletic center (includes cardio, weight, and recreation), and more!
- The Taffy Abel Arena (our home arena), which is some of the best ice across the ACHA!
- A private locker room with direct access to our home bench! Never worry about having to bag in and out. Room includes stalls, showers, storage, and more!
- Full time coaching staff focused on your development and wellbeing!
- Equipment and apparel provided
- Road trips for away games! Travel to and play at some of the most iconic rinks throughout the country! Make lifelong memories!
- Resources to help you balance your athletics and your studies! Small class sizes provide you with the best opportunity to succeed in your field. Many of our players are involved in academic clubs/extracurriculars!
- Unique classroom settings! Small class sizes allow for hands-on learning and experiences you couldn’t find anywhere else (especially at the undergraduate level)
