OPENING DAY 2026! 🏈
Thank you to everyone who came out for Opening Day and helped make it such a great start to the season — our players, coaches, referees, board members, volunteers, and families!
This year is especially exciting because we’ve reached an incredible milestone: 280 kids across 30 teams! This is a record for our program, and it speaks volumes about the strength of our community and the excitement surrounding Saugerties Flag Football.
Every one of those 280 players has the opportunity this season to learn, compete, make new friends, build confidence, and create memories that will last long after the final whistle.
2026 PROGRAM UPGRADES
We’re also proud to introduce several exciting improvements this year, all designed to make our program better, safer, and more convenient for our players, families, coaches, and volunteers:
Upgraded Snack Shack Payment Options — The Snack Shack now accepts both cash and credit cards, eliminating the need for Venmo and making it easier for families to grab food and drinks during games.
501(c)(3) Nonprofit Status — We’re proud to have officially received our 501(c)(3) status, allowing supporters to make tax-deductible donations and opening the door for our program to apply for grants and additional funding opportunities.
PA System — We’ve added a PA system to improve communication throughout the fields and create an even better game-day experience for players, coaches, and spectators.
First-Aid Kits for Every Coach — Every coach now has access to basic first-aid supplies, putting important resources right where they’re needed most — on the field.
An AED in the Utility Room — An important investment in the safety of our players, coaches, families, volunteers, and visitors.
Our Inaugural 10–14 Girls Division — We’re incredibly excited to launch our first-ever 10–14 girls division, creating a new opportunity for young athletes to compete, develop their skills, and grow within our program.
The addition of the 10–14 Girls Division is especially exciting. We want these players to know that there is a place for them here — not just this season, but for years to come.
Our hope is that today’s young athletes will continue to grow through this program and, one day, become the players who proudly represent our community at the varsity level.
Reaching 280 players, 30 teams, and new milestones for our program wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our community. We’re so grateful to everyone who continues to invest their time, energy, and passion into Saugerties Flag Football.
