🎣 SPONSORS NEEDED – 2026–2027 SEASON! 🎣

The Satsuma High School Fishing Team is gearing up for another exciting season, and we are looking for businesses and individuals who would like to support our student anglers!

Sponsorships help our anglers with tournament entry fees, travel expenses, lodging, team jerseys, and other costs associated with competing throughout Alabama and the Southeast. Our students also have opportunities to qualify for state and national championships and college scholarships.

We have sponsorship opportunities available for businesses and individuals at several different levels, starting at just $50. Depending on the sponsorship level, sponsors can receive recognition on our team jerseys, tournament banner, and page.

❤️🐊 Every sponsorship—large or small—helps make these opportunities possible for our students!

If you own a business, know someone who does, or would simply like to support the team, please message me or contact me for more information.

📞 George Chapman – (251) 605-6302

Checks can be made payable to Satsuma High School, with “Fishing Team” on the memo line.

Edit: I’ve received several questions as to whether or not you need a partner and/or a boat to join the team. To help provide a safe environment for our student anglers and to comply with SafeSport guidelines, all students compete as a two-person team. This policy helps ensure that no student is placed in a one-on-one situation with an adult during team activities. Students are welcome to join with a partner they already know, or we will do our best to help match individual students with another angler looking for a teammate.

Each team must also have access to a tournament-ready boat through a parent, family member, or approved boat captain.

Minimum boat requirements:
• At least 16 feet in length
• Minimum 40-horsepower outboard motor, some trails limit max hp at 250
• Propeller-driven only (no jet drives)
• Steering wheel required (no tiller-steer boats) Satsuma High School CyndiandGeorge Chapman

This past week, the Satsuma Gators Fishing Team had the opportunity to compete at the 17th Annual SAF High School World Fishing Finals on beautiful Lake Cumberland in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

This was our first time fishing Lake Cumberland, and it proved to be a completely different challenge than what we’re used to back home. The lake’s deep, crystal-clear water tested every team and forced us to adapt throughout the tournament.

The tournament began with an incredible field of 411 boats from across the country. Both of our teams brought fish to the scales on two of the three qualifying days, and by the end of Day 3, both Satsuma teams were sitting in the Top 50 out of the 332 boats still competing.

Although we didn’t make the cut for Championship Day, we’re extremely proud of how our anglers competed against some of the best high school teams in the nation. Every tournament is an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain valuable experience, and our teams did exactly that.

A huge thank you to our boat captains, parents, sponsors, and everyone who supports the Satsuma Gators Fishing Team. Your encouragement and support make opportunities like this possible.

We’re proud of our anglers for the way they represented Satsuma High School—with determination, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Go Gators! 🎣🐊
