What a day?! 12u Brawlers introduced their protégés! We were excited to Strike out ALS at The Farm with our 8u Brawlers! These girls made a few plays and really impressed us with only 2 team practices and No travel ball experience. They played hard and are ready to work. Can’t wait to see that their future holds!

Congratulations to Coach Racey and our 14u Brawlers!

Congratulations to Coach Racey and our 14u Brawlers!

Gotta say… it was a GREAT day to be part of the Bayou Brawler’s family!!!!

12 hours at the ballpark. 5 games. And these girls never let up. We came up just short in the championship, falling 5-4… but let me be clear!!! We did NOT come up short as a team!!
This coach couldn’t be more proud of this group of athletes. They didn’t play for themselves… they played for each other. That’s what makes this team special!!! Pitching and defense were LOCKED IN all day, and the bats showed up big time!!!
32 RBI’s
3 Home Runs
1 Grand Slam
That’s Bayou Tough!!!!
Shoutout to the Louisiana Canes 14U for a great championship game, nothing but respect. Y’all have a solid squad.

Some of y’all are having a full-blown internal meltdown in the stands… while your 9-year-old is out there just living her best life on the mound 😅

Heart pounding. Leg bouncing. Already scripting every worst-case scenario in your head.

“She might hit someone.” “What if she gets hit?” “What if she falls apart?”

Meanwhile?

She’s over there like… “this is fun.”

Here’s the hard truth:

You’re feeling the pressure for her… and then accidentally handing it right back.

Kids don’t need you to ride every pitch with them. They need you to normalize the chaos of the game.

Walk someone? Normal. Hit a batter? Happens. Get hit? Shake it off.

But when you react like it’s a crisis… now it becomes one.

Your energy is louder than anything you say.

If you’re tight—she tightens. If you’re panicked—she starts searching for danger. If you’re riding the rollercoaster—she feels like she has to hold it all together.

Flip it.

Be the most relaxed person in the place. Be the “nothing fazes me” energy. Be the reason she thinks, “I’m good no matter what.”

Because this isn’t about protecting her from every bad moment… it’s about showing her those moments aren’t that scary in the first place.

She’s not the one spiraling.

Let her play. 🔥

Satsuma Bayou Brawlers is excited about our new home at Colyell Communitee Park, a place that held community significance for many of us when we were young.

Our vision is to revive this space, making it a vibrant spot for softball enthusiasts in Livingston Parish as well as a venue for the people of Colyell to host other events. We are partnering with Livingston Recreation District 5 to bring back the Events we all once loved.

We are committed to providing accessible practice facilities and coaching guidance. A coaching clinic will be available soon for those interested in coaching recreational softball. This along with many other events to be scheduled will serve our community and our children.

We are planning Friday nights under the lights for kickball and karaoke, bring your own team style league play for 6 weeks, tournments including a Banana Ball Tournament for Girls and so much more!!

The millage for Colyell Community Park was not passed. This stopped funding for the park and maintenance as well as utilites are a huge expense to keep the park running. We are commited to keeping the gates open and the park clean. We do ask if you visit our park in the next few weeks you show grace and patience as we are working to get the facility up to our standards.
