🥍🐺 BIG NEWS FOR OUR FYLAX FAMILY!

We’re excited to share that the Thunderwolves are continuing to grow lacrosse throughout Northern Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas!

Their mission is simple: give local players more opportunities to play, develop, and compete beyond their regular youth seasons, while continuing to support the local programs these athletes call home. 💙

And this year, they’re expanding the program to include 2033–2036 age groups for the first time! 🙌

🔥 THUNDERWOLVES SUPPLEMENTAL TRYOUTS
📅 Saturday, August 15
📍 Butler High School Stadium

2032–2036: 4:00–6:00 PM
2028–2031: 6:00–8:00 PM

Players interested in joining for Fall 2026 and/or Summer 2027 are encouraged to attend.

We love seeing more opportunities for our local athletes to continue growing their game and their love for the sport! 🥍

12U & 14U boys: looking for a local fall lacrosse opportunity (includes practices & a very local tournament)? Team up with the Hampton to form the Hogs!

Registration is $200 to play and an additional $75 if kids need a new uniform. Registration covers coaches, insurance, tourney fees, balls, gear, shooter shirts, etc. Planning to enter both a 14U and 12U team if we can get 15 players at each level.

Basic details are 3 practices on Sundays in September and October to prep for the PGH Fall Classic (at Russleton, PA on Sunday 10/11). The practice field is at Meadow field at the Hampton Community center.

🏃 Elementary: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
🏃 Middle School: 1:00 PM–3:00 PM

💲 $60 per day or $150 for all 3 days

We hope you're enjoying a great summer! As we prepare for the upcoming season, we are now accepting nominations for the FYLAX Executive Board for the 2026-2027 term. This is a great opportunity to get involved and help shape the future of youth lacrosse at Freeport.

Available Board Positions:

President
Vice President of High School
Vice President of Youth
Treasurer
Secretary
Board Liaison
Members-at-Large (up to 5 positions)

Each board position serves a 1-year term, and all officers will be elected at our Voting General Assembly Meeting in August.

Nomination Guidelines:

Individuals nominated do not need to be present at the meeting.

Only adult members in good standing are eligible to be nominated or elected.
