Hartung Taxidermy and Guide Service Preserving memories one mount at a time. I've spent the last couple years applying what I have learned on many of my own animals.

I am a licensed professional outdoor enthusiast who has been interested in taxidermy since I received my first fish mount when I was 8 years old. In 2013 I furthered my interest for taxidermy by attending the American Institute of Taxidermy instructed by Dennis Rinehart.

As August comes to a close and the busy month of September begins with bears on the mind! We have been busy in the shop and are gaining some ground and we are looking forward to bear season again this fall! As always free skinning in the shop just call and give me a heads up as I will be spending some time in the woods also.

Haven’t posted in a while but have to share some pictures of this incredible animal. Largest bear I’ve had in my shop, coming in around 640lbs. Super thankful to be able to tackle this thing.

Sad to see these few short haired deer leave. That double throat patch buck is incredible. What a beautiful animal he is, the big heavy 9 is a north woods ghost who lived a long life up here and them chocolate horns on the big 8 point sure are special! The end of deer heads are very very close!
