It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Riverside G.C. There have been many rumors spreading that we have sold the golf course and that is not the case. The last couple years have been extremely difficult and frustrating. We have been trying to figure out a way to remain economically feasible, but the loss continues to offset the profit. The course has become too costly to maintain, operate, and staff. Our age, declining health, and our distance from the course is also a huge factor in our decision to close. We’d like to thank our loyal customers for their patronage over the years and our staff for going above and beyond to keep us in operation. We will continue to search for a buyer that will bring jobs and accommodate the many needs of Monroe County.
