The shadows look the same, but after this week’s tragic barn fire, nothing quite feels the same.

Today, I walked beside my horse a little slower, held them a little longer, and felt a whole lot more grateful. These quiet moments we share with our animals are never guaranteed. They are a gift.

My heart continues to ache for everyone affected. The horse community is small, and when one of us hurts, we all do. Hug your horses a little tighter tonight. ❤️🐴

My heart is with everyone affected by the barn fire at the harness track this morning.

For those outside the horse world, a barn is so much more than a building. It’s early mornings, late nights, friendships, memories, hard work, and the horses we love like family. Seeing something like this happen is heartbreaking.

Sending love, strength, and prayers to every horse, owner, trainer, caretaker, and first responder involved. The harness racing community is a tough one, and I know they’ll come together to support each other through this.
