It’s a beautiful thing loving a horse through every version of themselves…

You stop seeing what they were, what happened to them, or what they still need to become.

You just see them.

Aurora and I are both learning that becoming takes time. There are messy days, slow days, breakthroughs and steps backward. But through my eyes, she will always be art. A masterpiece in every stage of becoming.

we all deserve someone who sees us that way.

Kelsey came out to be a horse girl again, and watching that part of her come right back to life was pretty special.

You don’t have to own a horse. You don’t have to be experienced. You don’t even have to remember the last time you rode.

🐴 JW Update! 🐴

We’re still waiting on JW’s castration, but in the meantime, this boy is absolutely killing it with his desensitization work! 💪❤️

He’s taking new experiences in stride, building confidence, and showing us just how willing and smart he is. Every session is another step toward becoming a calm, confident, well-rounded guy. So proud of the progress he’s making! 🥰🐴

A girl who’s at the barn has no time for boys, parties, or getting into trouble. She’s too busy smelling like a horse, spending every dollar she has at the tack store, and telling you she needs another pair of breeches.

Keep her at the barn. Your wallet was never safe anyway. 🐴😂

This is what a second chance looks like. 🖤❤️🐴

When Aurora came to us, she didn’t just need groceries.
She needed time.
Patience.
Consistency.
And someone willing to listen when she said she wasn’t ready yet.

The horse in that first picture was anxious, underweight and always in a hurry.
The horse in the second picture is learning that she doesn’t have to rush anymore.

And maybe that’s my favorite part of her transformation. It isn’t just the weight she’s gained or how beautiful she looks.

She’s learning how to slow down.
So am I.

Turns out we were both exactly where we needed to be.
