A lot of people do too much cardio trying to burn fat to lose weight. This is a huge misconception! Cardio burns calories. Out of those calories, it could be fat or muscle. If you're not doing strength training and taking in proper nutrition, there is a strong chance that most of those calories being burned during cardio is coming from muscle. Muscle is a huge contributor to your metabolism. Doing too much cardio will ultimately damage your metabolism.
