☀️ Spending more time sitting lately?
Whether you’re watching TV, working on your computer, or just relaxing, sitting for long periods can make the muscles in the back of your legs—your hamstrings—become tight.
When your hamstrings tighten up, they can also make your hips and lower back feel stiff.
The good news? You don’t have to be flexible to start stretching!
In the pictures below, I show a simple progression:
✔️ Start with a resistance band if reaching your foot is difficult.
✔️ Progress to a lying hamstring stretch.
✔️ As your flexibility improves, try stretching with your foot on a low step.
✔️ Finally, work your way to a slightly higher step for a deeper stretch.
Remember: stretching should create a gentle pull—not pain. Move slowly, breathe, and be consistent. Small improvements each day can make a big difference over time.
